(The following is a transcript from a TV interview with Toronto GM Justin Ryan)
"...we are a pathetic organization. Are these guys for real? Juan Guzman 9 walks? Al Leiter 8 walks? Did these guys drive or WALK to the ballpark? We can't hit our way out of a paperbag. Ed Sprauge, why even bother showing up? We'll have Tony Fernandez cover SS and 3B. You're a zuckerhole out there, and you're .143 average is very Newark Bears-esque.
Why is Pat Borders my best hitter? He's 100....wait, he's 31; he's been old since he was 21. Joe Carter, you were progged to hit 33 HR and 120+ RBI...I'm glad you come and collect your paycheck, hey, by the way, grab a bat and swing while you're here. I understand your checks are in Canadian dollars, but that doesn't mean you have to convert your stats from US to Canadian..."
